The topic of our lesson is People and Society. Writing an Article. By the end of the lesson we have to develope our writing skills and practise writing articles.

1 )Firstly refresh your knowledge in using transitions and linking words. Read them

First, second, next, further, last, finally, in addition, moreover,also, so, as a result, therefore, thus, due to; in fact, obviously, especially, for example, such as, because, as, that is why, while, not only...but also

2) Read the article about how to write an article on social issues

 

3) Do  the "Writing Point" box, page 329

4) Read the information how to write eye-catching headlines ( titles) from the exercise 1 page 239 

5) Exercise 2 page 239-240- change the following sentences into attractive headlines

6) Read the " Useful tips" writing an article ( ex. 3 p.240)

Homework

ex.3 p.240- choose one of the following writing tasks (1-3).  Виберіть одне з  завдань (1-3) і напишіть статтю  на цю тему . Write notes and suggest the appropriate headline. Outline the plan for your article. Finally, write the article in250-300 words
